Is it true that Lancaster cavite is flood prone? Photos have been circulating online alleging that Lancaster is situated in a "high flood hazard zone". Apparently, the images came from several sources, including one from another real estate developer. Still, there was an image or two captured from nababaha.com. Naturally, I visited the website myself. And my findings are..
...totally not the same as the circulating images. They were claiming that Lancaster is classified a "red" by nababaha.com, but when I went to the website, it classified the subdivision as an "orange". There's a difference.
And it's not like the subdivision's management has refused to acknowledge the possible flooding issue. During the recent habagat (august), a social media announcement caught my attention:
It rained abnormally and a dam in Tanza collapsed. It didn't flood where I live, but I texted the announcement to some of my friends in Lancaster who could be affected by the nonestop rains. Leighton was used as a "relief" area. The flooding didn't last long naman, so bumalik din agad yung residents.
Sabi ng ahente ko (we're friends, by the way), Lancaster New City is also now working with the local government units.
